Kamo's tooth

Before…..

After….

Shark Boy

It's always exciting when the kids lose their first tooth, but this one was a little sad for me.  I love those little baby teeth.  This is my baby losing his baby teeth.  The end of an era.   His 2 bottom teeth have been loose for a while and the new ones grew in behind them.  He looked a little shark like.  Then yesterday morning 1 just came out.  (We're still waiting on the other).

So in true African fashion Kamo threw it up on the roof.

However sad this was for me I am excited and happy that I got to share this "first" with him.

Mother's Day!!!

How can it not be a good day when you have such wonderful Kids!!
They are an active bunch, full of energy and life.
They keep me going from sun up to sun down.
I am so lucky to have them in my life. So thankful.
I wouldn't trade them for the world.

I woke up to these wonderful waiters offering me various beverages, fruits and stuffies.
And some bonus snuggles.

After some delicious coffee I was presented with gifts.
Wine glasses and a pedicure gift card, and then the homemade cards and gifts from school.
I know now why the mom from 19 kids and counting had so many kids, it's because those Kindergarten crafts are way to cute.  Seriously.

and yes around our house, every celebration revolves around the planning of meals.
for brekkie we had crepes with strawberries and whipped cream, sausages and (thanks to Pinterest) I had this lovely "mimosa" made with Champagne and orange sorbet.

my snack time cupcake.

and why not force the kids into a photo shoot on the only day of the year when they have to do it!! :)

and then they forced me to take one of the dog.
here's Happy.

for dessert Sundee made us all some cake pops.

It really was a wonderful day.  Not perfect, cause perfect is overrated, and heck we've got a lot of personality around here.
but a very relaxing morning, some basketball, I somehow had a nap, we went for a walk….

yes, I have wonderful kids.
they teach me so much about myself and life.
all of our days are full.

I am blessed how they celebrated me today but
I couldn't celebrate today if I didn't have them in my life.

( this post was written in my car.  only place i could find a quiet spot today)
