Color me Rad 2015

January 1st of this year I signed us up.  I'm not one for New Year's Resolutions and this wasn't one I just wanted some motivation to get my girls fit during these long winter night.  Well that went well for a while and kind of lost steam. They got busy.  I finished my training.

Today was the day and we went out.  Sundee was at a youth sleep over last night so she was functioning on very little sleep.  And sadly our other partner Willow had work so she wasn't able to make it, so she dressed in her gear and supported us that way.

We got nice and colourful.  Some in our ears and mouth.

It was fun.  I'd definitely do it again.

Soccer Extravaganza

Yes.  I became a soccer mom.

It was a very busy 2 1/2 months.  4 days of soccer a week.

One day Sundee asked if we could do something and I replied "No, soccer has taken over our life."  Her reply.  " and I LOVE it!!!"

So worth it.  To see them put themselves out there.  Work on a team.  Improve themselves and encourage others. 

Here's our schedule for the weekend.

Sundee started her soccer career 2 years ago at camp.  Adjusting her pinny was her main focus.  She was still excited about her uniform this season but also focused on making some plays.  She had some very near goals, an assist, and very good aggressive plays.

Ret's ball control and foot skills have been well practiced.  He excelled in learning how to play on a team, pass the ball and RUN!

The last game…. 10 minutes left in the last half and…

he scores!!!!!!

I missed a shot of the goal but no one could miss this smile.

Both of their teams won Bronze!!!

Epic Movie Night!!!

It's a tradition around here that Friday nights are Movie and pizza night.

Last night e decided to take this up a notch.

Tery's new grand idea is to make Friday nights awards night.

So we made up little cards and gave the kids each an award for something that they have done this week.  Encouraged, worked hard, patience, filled others with joy. 

They loved it.  

So then instead of pizza we served them a delicious bowl of cereal and told them movie night was at the theatre!!  Avengers here we come.

Yes this photo is not awesome but I was only going to take 1 in the theatre and this is what I go.  Deal with it.  The people around me were thankful I'm sure.

We got there in good time so we could all sit together.  Got our snacks ( thanks Costco for the awesome packages) and waited.  We heard sound, no video….

Willow came to ask if she should go talk to someone- she's a problem solver.

5 minutes after the show was supposed to start we were told there was a projector problem and it would start soon.  We waited. 

Finally after a 45 minute wait the movie began. 

Bonus-  They could only run the movie in 3D so we got upgraded to that.

        - due to the delay when we left we EACH got 2 tickets for free movies.

          2 !!!!  did you get that people???  2

So this one off day of Family fun, fyi we have never ALL been to a movie together -this was the first time -  turned into a bonus of 2 more fun nights to come.
